Farewell Flowers

IMG_2592.JPG

Our eco Farewell flowers process

We start all of the casket sprays with a dried palm tray.

Moss is then soaked and placed into a compostable bag and tied to the tray with twine.

The foliage and flower are then placed into the bag of moss which keeps them firmly in place and stops the stems from drying out.

Once the flowers are taken off the casket they can either be reused in vases or composted, including the palm tray.

The wreaths are made on willow rings using twine to hold the moss in place.

Foliage and flowers are then placed into the moss and again can be completely composted.

All my flowers including those used for farewell tributes are plastic free. I do not use plastic foam in any of my work.

I’m a British grower so most of the flowers I use are from the field. I also use other British growers and occasionally I use imported flowers when I can’t get something a customer has requested.
